Music Festivals - English Practice for B1

The one and only Glastonbury Festival!

A greener Festival

What does Glastonbury festival need to do to become a green festival?

"We’re delighted to announce that Glastonbury has been Highly Commended in the A Greener Festival 2014 Awards, by the environmental campaign.
Festivals that apply for the scheme must prove to the judges that the festival has meaningful and effective environmental policies and practices to deal with traffic and transport, greenhouse gas emissions, waste and recycling, water conservation, noise pollution, ethical policies and environmental protection. The festivals should also have sustainable office policies. Each event is inspected by one or more independent environmental assessors. The festivals are also invited to provide supporting evidence such as environmental policies, waste management plans, analysis of CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions."

Start improving your chosen foreign language in September...

Dear Invasion Members,

September has arrived!

September is always a good time to start something new. The Spanish Invasion has been created to enable everyone involved to improve their language skills by discovering new approaches to learning English and Spanish.

Our group meetings will give you the encouragement you need to develop your language skills, as we understand that it can be difficult to motivate yourself whilst learning a language.

As mentioned in our last news letter we would like to organise an event which will involve all our members. We are looking into organising an 'open mic' evening, to give members the opportunity to sing, read poetry, play some music, etc... Any members who would be interested in performing in front of a lovely crowed of people, please contact me. We are still looking for a venue to host this event, once we have a small line up and a date for the event to take place, I will send out the details.

Events taking place from the 4th - 30th September.

Eddie and Arantxa host the Cornerstone event, and I host the Sidewinder and the Guarana bar events! There will be occassions when we won't be able to attend the events due to other commitments. With this in mind, if there are any members who are interested in joining our team and would like to host a night, please let me know. All our meeting Spots below...If you are interested in joining the group its Free to all! The more people who join us, the more discounts will be on offer!!

For more information please go to www.thespanishinvasiongroup.com and click on Blogger.
